I have to disagree that all four players were very good to great players. Both Long and JL had stopped being in that category several years prior.
Their departures were overdue.
Also, the Baron check of him being an impact player as an every down player isn’t still waiting to clear. He played 12 games last year as an every down player and made a huge impact. That one is money in the bank.
Other than those two points, I agree with you.
In fact, I don’t have a ton of hope that the secondary positions will be filled without much drop-off. I’m expecting large drop-off and have consistently said so since we lost those players.
I do believe, however, that our front 7 will be better due to replacing Long and JL. That coupled with Gaines returning hopefully will soften the blow of losing the other two guys.
