I know he was extremely raw coming in to the league. And in his first and second seasons, I always argued that he needed three because that's frequently when you see OL'men turn the corner in development. He wasn't good after three which is why I gave up on him. But maybe that is a bit harsh considering his lack of experience. It may be more fair to give him four. Who knows... Well, the Rams have new coaching and player development now with the new staff right? If the Rams offer him the right amount of money, I'm sure he'd love to come back. But we're getting ahead of ourselves here. He actually has to play decent this year. I'm not assuming he will.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLMU93 Not to mention the cap hit ($8.2M) of trading him now. If he somehow doesn't bounce back he'd be easier to trade in 2018 because another team would only be on the hook for him for one year. You mention a compelling reason why maybe they ought to consider trading him now. If he doesn’t have a bounce back year, they would get little for him in trade next year. Quotezn QuoteDavid Deacon You never know how much is true but it does seem that we had a coaching problem and that the team lacked unity. The offense was out of date and the players were not all committed and not all in shape. It will be interesting to see how the new coaching staff handles things. Quotemerlin I don't think Barron's gonna work out on the inside. He has that range Phillips loves, but he's not a disciplined player wrt his assigned gap and isn't going to hold up well barring them bringing in a real NT to eat up blockers. Easley is a restricted free agent. Which means they can tender an offer at the $2.5M level and get a 2nd round pick if someone signs him. He was one of our best lineman last year.
