A LT, a #1 WR, a center, a starting CB, 2 if Johnson leaves, a FS and a DE with Quinn moving to rush backer. And that's under the assumption guys like Havenstein and brown improve, Baron makes the transition to ILB. That's alot of ifs my friend.
The players to fill those positions may already be on the roster.
LT - I would move Saffold here for 2017. And sign a really good guard in free agency. If they do this, Brown may not even be a starter. He'd be competing with GRob and Wichman for the other guard position.
#1 WR - this need could be filled in free agency too. McVay may be able to attract Garcon or Jackson. They may not be #1s but they are an upgrade.
Center - I'm ambivalent on this being a need. I'm not so sure Barnes isn't adequate. I think we need to wait and see if the Rams will run a zone blocking scheme or a power one. If it's a power scheme Barnes will need to be replaced.
CB - fortunately this may be the deepest and best position in the draft. 2nd or 3rd round pick should take care of this.
Johnson leaves - they need to retain him. But he's not irreplaceable. If they let him walk, they need to sign another quality CB. AJ Bouye?
FS - I agree on this need. Mo Alexander is not a FS. But he's a good SS. I'm leaning towards the smart play being to let TJM walk and slide Mo to SS. Then use TJM's money to sign Duron Harmon from NE.
DE - I don't see the need here. With Wade they will only have a 3 man front. Brockers and Donald will be two of them. Easley, Westbrooks, Hayes are candidates for the other DE. I think the real need is for a LOLB.
