How do you know who McVay will be answering to? I must have missed that report. Got a link?by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
They both are awful. I'm thinking Riley Reiff.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Being a leader of men, a great strategist, a motivator, and setting out a vision is what is important in the NFL. Someone whose presence elicits a little fear (think you don't sweat when called into Bellicheck's office?). You know Rock, there are some people who possess those qualities early. It appears McVay may be one of them. Here is an excerpt from an article of when he wasby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
The only problem with the quitting theory is that he wasn’t that good in the beginning of the year either. It wasn’t even known yet that his OL was going to be bad. All year he has looked slow, lacked burst, and possibly most scary is lacked vision.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, this doesn’t surprise me. I don’t need analytics to see that Gurley was a big part of his lack of production. Could you post the link of where you got this info though?by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield when it comes to acquiring personnel. I am still of the believe that giving up a huge number of draft choices to acquire Goff was not something Fisher wanted to do. It's my opinion that was a decision that came from above. Nevertheless I believe he came around when it became obvious to him that this is what SK and Demoff wanted. I have no way of supporting this opinion but in my mby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield Seems to me Demoff has been the decision maker along with Fisher and Snead reported to both of these guys. So now he's in charge of acquiring personnel as is the case with most GMs ? I don't think it was structured that way. Fisher was the decision maker with Snead collaborating with him. By and large they were over personnel. Demoff came in when there cap considerations. In a typical situation, I would agree with that. But the things that can go wrong for a 30 year old HC are pretty unique. Inability to lead, clear lack of experience, it clearly being seen that he's in over his head. You don't have years of patience for those types of flaws.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

QuotePaulButcher59 Quotedzrams Clearly Demoff is running the show overall. But I was more wondering about control over personnel. Surely Demoff won’t be the voice with the most sway in actually constructing the football team. Right? No but remember Les is his right hand yes man and Demoff will want to be involved with all personnel moves for his football team. He loves the game and wants toby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

As Cromwell said, this move tells me that Fisher had primary control and that Demoff/Kroenke blamed things primarily on him. I don’t see any other way it would make sense to have Snead retain his job. Given that Fisher was basically the head football man in charge, I wonder about the power structure now. I don’t think they are giving final say to McVay. And Demoff having it would be scaryby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePaulButcher59 Quotedzrams I like McVay. My heart says he’s my #1 choice. It’s risky but something about it feels right. My head says Shanahan is safer, has similar upside and should be the #1 choice. It’s Thursday. It makes no sense to not wait until Sunday to talk to Shanny. The Rams certainly know his level of interest. Shanny could have taken the interview with minimal interest.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Well thanks for that. I haven’t watched him much at all so I don’t have any first-hand knowledge of his abilities. For what it’s worth, PFF has him as the highest rated free agent WR at 85.8. So apparently they agree with you. This means he'll be much more expensive...by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Not a bad pickup. Is he better than Britt?by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm at work going off of memory. It was something I read days, maybe a week ago. It was an article about McVay, his contributions to the offense, and why Wash. is still hesitant to pay Cousins huge money.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Riley Reiff is a decent LT. There is some quality there. I've tossed about the idea of moving Saffold to LT too but my first choice is to find a vet LT.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, according to what I was reading, they were giving credit to McVay.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
The team doesn’t know if Cousins is worth his asking price precisely because of what they deem the genius of McVay’s scheme. Supposedly his scheme makes it very easy for the QB with reads, decisions, check downs, etc. I read that the team feels that nearly any game manager could be successful in his scheme. If true, the success of Cousins should be a huge notch on his resume.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

QuotePHDram But I'm not sure being a good coordinator translates to being a good hc. So to me it's kinda irrelevant. He is young... But I like what a read about him. He strikes me as a leader.
