You mention a compelling reason why maybe they ought to consider trading him now. If he doesn’t have a bounce back year, they would get little for him in trade next year. If they do it now, they may get a 1st round pick ala the Trent Richardson trade a few years ago.
If that type of value was out there, they should strongly consider trading him IMO. Fisher overvalued the RB position. They typically don’t last long and are plentiful in the draft.
