I'm not sold on Hill as a starter. A quality back-up and I do like his tackling compared to the two recently departed DBs.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
When he was drafted, the "experts" talked about his ability to play man cover. Him and Jalen playing in your face man cover would be music to Wade's ear. Those two, Rapp and Johnson are the making of an elite secondary.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
They are rebuilding. Want all the picks they can get. Bought a 5th round pick for $4.2 million. I think they have two picks in each round now in the 2020 draft. Seems like a lot to us, but for these owners it's nothing. Like me buying you a can of coke.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I really don't think we are playing like a Divisional Champion at this point. We do have lots of talent, but we also have obvious issues. I hope we keep improving every week and peak at the end of the year with enough wins to at least get a WC spot. We're going to need a little help even for a WC spot and more help for the Division. BUT unless we start playing a whole lot better, we aren'by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I think assimilating him with little time was easy because they just said, "Go find Julio and cover him by yourself." There were instances when he was back off the line in zone coverage, but most of the time he was man on Julio. I think that will be his role most of the time. I think the real improvement is going to come from the other defensive players as they learn to work togetby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
One advantage of being at the game is you can see the whole field and look at what the QB is looking at. On the throw to Goff's left, you could see Everett running away from his man. I hollered, "He's got him!" before the ball was thrown, only to watch the ball sail over his head. The fine gentleman behind me said, "That's why I don't think Goff is elite." QuoteRams43 Here’s tklongball... Overall, what a game. Man that stadium was empty by the middle of the 3rd Qtr. 5:42 left in the fourth. Completely empty. .by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Was at the game today and on most plays Jalen was in, I just watched him during the live action, then watched the re-play action on the screen. A couple of observations. First, even though he was up on the line for more than half the plays, he doesn't actually jam the receiver at the line. Allows a free release and then trails in tight coverage. Julio Jones did beat him on a few times, bby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm just 45 minutes south of Atlanta. Last year we went to Jax for the game. What a start. First Pharoah Cooper returns the opening kickoff for a touchdown, then Fournette runs 75 yds for a touchdown on their first play. Fun game. Hope this one is fun and we get a much needed win. Go RAMS!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
My sons are taking me to the game on Sunday. Last time we were in that blasted new stadium we had to watch our offense fizzle against the hated Pats. How we've played of late, I wasn't that excited about the game this weekend except for the fact I'll be with the boys. With the trades, a new guard, maybe more of Henderson, the game has me a lot more excited. Go RAMS!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
My son-in-law is a huge Ravens fan from Baltimore. He watches every game and he told me "He wasn't terrible, but easily forgettable." I just hope our scheme is a better fit for him.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedzrams QuotePapatrey This can't go on indefinitely. You need those high draft picks to have cheap starters on their first contract. It can go on indefinitely if they continue to have huge success getting cheap starters with their 2nd and 3rd round picks. Nothing says your cheap starter has to be a 1st rounder. I'll take Ramsey's $13.7M contract next year over Fowler's $14M this year any time. He'll do more to improve our defense than Fowler.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com

I hope he is ready for Sunday. As it turns out, my sons are taking me to the Falcons vs Rams game this Sunday to celebrate my b-day. Be great to see what Wade can do with this special CB.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Two highest paid CBs are just above $15M / year. ($2.4 +13.7 + $17 + $20) / 3.5 years is $15.17M / year That isn't too bad because he is one of the top if not the top CB.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
They control him for 3 1/2 years. This year, then next year @ 13.7 million, then they can tag him twice. To extend him, they are going to have to make him the highest paid CB.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I liked both the Rams and the Cowboys in the late 60's early 70's as a young kid. Finally settled on just the Rams because I liked the toughness of Roman Gabriel over all the skills of Roger Staubach. Been a Ram fan ever since. Some good years and many leans years, but always rooting for just the Rams. Since I was in the Navy for 20 years we lived in many parts of the country, but I neverby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteoldschoolramfan But in the end the Rams could not get it done. Bummed YES.............But in reality, we played em' toe to toe and just did not seal the deal. ABSOLUTELY!!! As bad as we played, just having success on a couple of plays, particularly the Cooks wide open in the end zone one, was the only difference. Brady made that one very good throw to Gronk that got them the TD.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamkind I honestly don't remember a single throw where he had time to look at all of the receivers and step into a throw. The D was always right there with pressure. Brady was under a little pressure too but he did have some moments where he had plenty of time to find Edelman and throw it to him. Goff didn't have any of those. I was hoping he would take off up the middle and run a few. It loby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
As much adversity as Goff, and the whole team, handled in NO, I was pretty sure he was up to the task heading into the game. In NO he made most of the plays when he had time. I'm surprised he failed to make the plays this time when he had time. I am now doubting the often repeated story that he doesn't let previous plays bug him. Quote21Dog but it's hard to scan second and third options when you're on your back. That said, it's an area in which he has to improve if the Rams are win the big one. But even when he had time, he rushed throws to covered receivers when he had open ones down the progression line. The pass rush took away his confidence to stand in there and find the open receiver. Quotejemach that is where Everett lives...the numbers to the sidelines. We already have wideouts who can do that. I distinctly remember one play where Everett was wide open 12-15 yards between the hashmarks and Goff never looked his way. Threw incomplete to a covered receiver. I was at the game and on at least 2, but I think 3, occasions, Goff had a wide open TE and he threw to another receiver. Seeing the whole field while the play is in progress let's you see who was open and not open. In my opinion, Goff threw to the wrong receiver at least 6 times in the game because on those occasions there was a receiver that didn't have a defender within 5 yards and he three tby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Prior to the Dallas game I was worried because of their strengths: Running the ball and stopping the run. I felt we were the better team and since we were at home I was confident we would win. But I wouldn't have been completely surprised if we had lost given our play in December. As it turns out they couldn't run and they couldn't stop the run.
