I think assimilating him with little time was easy because they just said, "Go find Julio and cover him by yourself." There were instances when he was back off the line in zone coverage, but most of the time he was man on Julio.
I think that will be his role most of the time. I think the real improvement is going to come from the other defensive players as they learn to work together to shut down the other receiver(s) / TE / RB. They are going to have an extra man devoted to covering the others which will help with players like Kittle. Plus more players close to the line to stop all that short crap since there doesn't have to be a safety over the top on Ramsey's side. Which in turn means the QB has to hold the ball longer so more time for the line to get after him. Finally, Wade will be able to implement more creative pressure since we don't need so many players to cover the zones. Definitely going to see an improvement in the passing game.....now what about the stopping the run??? Those blitzes are effective against the run and the extra safety not having to be deep on Ramsey's side of the field should help to stop the run also.
