Prior to the Dallas game I was worried because of their strengths: Running the ball and stopping the run. I felt we were the better team and since we were at home I was confident we would win. But I wouldn't have been completely surprised if we had lost given our play in December. As it turns out they couldn't run and they couldn't stop the run.
Prior to the NO game I was worried about our young team playing such a big game on the road. I felt the teams were evenly matched and on a neutral field it was a pick'em situation. The first quarter it all played out just like I had worried it would. But all that adversity the team experienced the last half of the year proved to be valuable as they gutted out the win in an insanely hostile environment.
As I watched the AFC championship game I was torn. I thought KC would be an easier opponent because of the lack of D and the even less experienced QB. But deep down I wanted the Patriots to avenge the GSOT's loss. I'm worried most about Belichick's coaching, Brady's experience, and their secondary. But like the Dallas game, I believe we are the better team and will win.
Here's to the end of a dynasty and the beginning of another. I'll be way up there is Section 313 with my son watching it unfold before my eyes!
