KC is going to cut Blythe and we are going to pick him up for the veteran minimum.....this was the plan all along.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedzrams 4) It's conclusive now that Goff struggles with processing - "Goff struggled to recognize coverage disguises and didn't consistently identify coverage post snap as the play developed. When a defense ran Cover Zero with no safeties deep, his decision-making process often didn't happen quickly enough to hit the big play." This verifies what so many fans were saying. I thinby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRam49 ....Goff had atrocious moments ... But this article does not paint a good picture of McVay. I agree. Kind of like Martz.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Good article. The Miami game was when I finally concluded Goff was not the answer. Seems like McVay agrees with my assessment. :ROTFby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Or McQuaide. All those years of never worrying about a good snap on punts and field goals. A bad snap in either of those situations can cost you a game.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Another team that doesn't need Blythe. His choices are narrowing. :thumbsupby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteThe_Zone I am more concerned with the way they are building that Oline. Yep....they skipped the Mercedes and bought a Ferrari for left tackle.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Every team is full of Chevies with a handful of Mercedes. As has been pointed out repeatedly, management knows it can't have Mercedes at every position so it decides where the Mercedes is most beneficial. We'll find out soon enough if management goes with a Chevy or Mercedes at center.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
If you believe just the stats. ABSOLUTELY NOT if you watch the game tape.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought "We're not on the same page" was concerning whether he started the wild card game, not whether they were on the same page as far as the offense is concerned.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I honestly think the Rams may be thinking go all in for the next two years and try to win a super bowl or two. THEN..... Trade Donald for 2 1st rounders and Ramsey for a 1st and 3rd. Start over with lots of draft capital and a BOATLOAD of cap space.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Since Floyd was released by the Bears, he doesn't count in the comp pick calculation, correct? I thought it had to be someone whose contract ran out and became a free agent, but I could be wrong.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting the videos. I just laughed at his response.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog Deion rode that philosophy to Canton. Absolutely true, but it doesn't make it any less selfish. Does We Not Me ring a bell.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Watch the 66 yard run by Henry. Peters has a chance to come forward and engage Henry which would have allowed 58 to then tackle Henry. Instead, Peters is moving backwards away from the blocker and Henry. Once Henry is past him, he gives chase. A wonderful zone cover guy, but as he has said before....tackling is a business decision. Pathetic!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Both Bones and Zuerlein are above average at their job. Bones is considered one of the best ST coaches and Greg when healthy is one of the best. I do not think losing one of the best ST coaches is a good thing for the team. Yes they had a down year, but I think we'll be wishing for Bones at some point in 2020. Zuerlein's inability to stay healthy the full year is a concern. Yes, I lostby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
But Howard (48), I think, totally whiffed on his block. Just looked again, it was McQuaide (44). With that block, he could have continued around the end and easily made it. At least, that's what I remember of the play. I think Bones has his eye on a ST stud in the 7th round and was looking to move up a few slots in the draft to nab him. :lol1by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
For me, it was after 3 games. I didn't think we looked very good against Carolina, NO, or Cleveland. I was thrilled to be 3-0, but felt like we needed a lot of improvement in all three areas of the game. Then came Tampa Bay and the roller coaster ride began. Bottoming out at SF (game 1), Pittsburgh, and Dallas. The only true high being the Seattle game (man we played well that game).by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
When I'm at a live game I love to watch the play first on the field to focus on whatever I want to focus on. Usually the receivers down the field. Then after the play is over, I watch the play again on the screen. That view is more like seeing what you see on TV. With this wonderful giant screen system it is going to be awesome watching the play again.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Could help us by forcing us to go for TDs instead of settling for a FG. But in the end, we aren't a better team without GregTheLeg.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
If they don't gift wrap the game and beat themselves.....hmmmm.....I've heard that somewhere before. :spintounge If they play like they did against Seattle....at least that's my thought.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemexram And I´ll say it again, we did not lose to the niners, we gift wrapped that game and lost to ourselves, I am hoping for a revenge game but a close one, Rams 24 - Whiners 20 I think I understand now what you mean by "we gift wrapped that game and lost to ourselves." We went 0-13 on 3rd and 4th down We let them go 9-18 on 3rd and 4th down We compiled 157 total yards whiby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
In fact, I watched every game this season including the Atlanta one in person. My assessment is closer to sacram than yours mexram. I've been rooting for the Rams (& Dallas) since the late 60s and only the Rams since the early 70s. Just cuz I have a different assessment than your doesn't make me a lesser Ram fan. I do not think we'll win this week, nor does the money (currently 6.5 poinby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Enjoyed reading that. I do doubt that many outside of Ram Nation consider us a top 10 team though. For instance NFL.com has us at 15 which I think is appropriate. The 2019 Rams are a mediocre team. Top 10 POTENTIAL Team is probably more fitting.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemexram And I´ll say it again, we did not lose to the niners, we gift wrapped that game and lost to ourselves, Isn't that what every team that loses can say? On every play, for 60 minutes, there are eleven players on both teams trying to execute. Obviously, if one side executes better than the other, they are more likely to win. As we have seen throughout the year, we haven't executeby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I give you we played very well against Seattle, particularly the second game. I would rate that as our best game of the season by far. We did not play well against NO, but did get the win. Just as we didn't play well against Carolina or Cleveland but got wins. IMHO the 2019 Rams have not played anything close to at a playoff level. That's exactly what I have seen, but it's just one mby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I think 99% of the people on this board are hoping we win both and vikings lose both so we can sneak in. However, most of us have watched the games and we see what we see. Some are realist and we don't see a playoff team this year. Others are optimists and see all the good the team has done and don't focus as much on the negative. Bottom line is the Rams have broken all our hearts this yby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
His job is to run straight up the field to get the GLORY sack, not to do the mundane things like set the edge. UGH!by Papatrey - Game Time Forum
We just haven't been a good team this year except against Seattle. Very sad!by Papatrey - Game Time Forum
I was both a Cowboys and Rams fan in the late 60s. In early 70s I had to make a decision between those two teams. Even though I liked Roger Staubach, I REALLY liked Roman Gabriel because of his toughness so I committed to them as my one and only team. Been a bumpy ride for sure, but I've never rooted for anyone other team.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
