QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus <snipped> I think he's slow & awkward player and not the player Kupp or even Spruce would be out of the slot. imo In fact, I could see us dealing PCooper to a team with no WR depth in late Aug. Well, as long as TA remains gimpy, I think that Cooper stays on board for PR insurance.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteFrom the article: A source speculated that he could envision Donald sitting out the entire 2017 season... I'm going to assume that this "source" is from Donald's camp. I'll further assume that this is Donald's camp's last gambit to play in terms of getting a new deal prior to his inevitable return to the team in the next week. Rams should not overreact to this article, but iby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFL Interceptions are bad things. And they should be counted. They should also be placed in perspective. Because here's the thing: You cannot excel as a QB in the NFL without RISKING interceptions. If you hold the ball or throw it away unless you have wide open receivers, you ain't gonna get a lot done. And SOME of the time, flirtations with picks will result in ... picks. That's thby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

Haven't read too many posts in opposition to the trade. Without identifying them, how many have you seen? I have, however, seen several posts debating the wisdom of extending Watkins a contract extension without a reasonable demonstration of health.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81Sammy Watkins gives the Rams offense life where it had none since the Warner Brothers left over a decade ago. He may never be healthy and it may not work out, but I do know this, to do nothing guarantees you the team will have no life. Ultimately, this is why I like the deal. As long as the Rams don't pull a Foles and try to sign Watkins long term (without him first proving good hby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky Watkin is a free agent. Donald has 2 years left on his deal. Do you pay Donald and tell Watkins goodbye? what do you think? Grits I would. 1) Watkins clearly has an injury history and hasn't proven he can remain healthy. 2) Although he can be a #1 WR, we still don't know how McVay plans to deploy him. If he merely plays the role of Desean Jackson, I'd thiby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFIP Quotelaram QuoteRFIP Quotelaram Sammy has NO leverage...this is essentially his contract year. The only leverage he has is on his next contract. Hopefully with the Rams. So you are risking a 2 and Gaines for the hope of resigning him? And do you really want to have to tag and be right back where you are with Tru? So IF I'm Sammy I would want to ball out this year and get aby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Since he's injury prone I would imagine they'll be selective on his routes. (LOL!) I'd feel so much better if his injuries were due to a shoulder or something. As far as I know, Watkins' injuries have all been foot-related which is a big red flag to me. He could hurt it on a post route just as much as on a bubble screen.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Just posted these same thoughts in another thread. Woody is not a hater. He's gonna go about his business as a true professional. In fact, IF Watkins can stay healthy (something I'm not so sure about), then I suspect that Woods will have his best year as a pro. Why? Well: 1) Goff is a better QB than either EJ Manual or Tyrod Taylor in terms of accuracy (something important for WR's whoby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 QuoteRockRam If you are Robert Woods you have to be thinking......say, WHAT??!! He can't get out from underneath Watkins shadow. Funny that the Rams have acquired essentially the Bills 2 starting WRs. Makes you think what's wrong with this picture? Quotedzrams If he's healthy, this is a great trade. If he's not that 2nd round pick next year will hurt. I kind of wish now that the Bills had picked up his 5th year option. As it is, he'll be a free agent at the end of the season. Wow. Watkins' injury history simply cannot be underestimated. Was there any live tackling going on...or just "thud?" If there was tackling, I'd appreciate any comments on our fundamentals in that regard. Thanks.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel you. But that's why I purchased the Mitchell & Ness Bettis throwback jersey a couple of months ago. I kinda like our current home white jersey, but have yet to find the $99 Aaron Donald version.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Obviously only after the Cowboys sub out their DL starters. Reason I ask is, although the joint practices with the Chargers are nice, preseason games take things up a notch. And despite starting 7 games last season, the more time Goff gets out on the field surveying other defenses and throwing to different targets...the better, right? I get 6 - 12 snaps in preseason Game 1 for a veteran, bby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFIP Though I understand what your saying, my opinion is quite simple. If you and I are of sound mind and agree on a contract for $40 mil we should BOTH have to live with the results like in most major sports. IRVINE — First the dark clouds rolled in. Then the rain started. Off in the distance, the sound of thunder erupted to the west of the Rams practice field at UC Irvine. And finally, the unmistakable jolt of a lightning bolt to the north. The Rams’ first day in full pads was finished soon after, halted by Coach Sean McVay’s concern for whatever potential havoc the looming storm might wreak on hiby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt it. When I took in the joint Cowboy/Ram practice a couple of seasons ago in Oxnard, there were scant 11-on-11 situations. Instead, there appeared to be a lot of unit vs. unit match-ups (i.e. WR v CB, OL v DL, RB v LB).by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I had decided long before the 2016 season that I'd forego purchasing any home game tickets because I knew the "homecoming" prices would be over-inflated. Besides, I figured that a Fisher-led product would no doubt depress the following 2017 market. Well, I think I was right about that and now I'd like to see what's available. I appreciate your POV, but I think that Goff (going into his 1st full season as a starter) has a lot to learn. That LA is a Raider town. At the moment, I would argue that's likely true. We're the Raiders to visit the Rams for a game, I've no doubt that the crowd would likely be a 50/50 split. The Rams, no doubt, have a deep legacy that runs deep in the city. But the years of losing in St. Louis have definitely taken a toll (and last season's debacle certainly didn't help).
