The optimists have held out hope that GRobs issues were correctable. But we've seen this play so many times before. The first round is littered with talented busts. GRob is one of them.
I readily admit I held out hope for him until last year. I gave him 3 years. It's done.

It seems to be a between the ears thing. Not saying he's stupid, but more of a reflex thing with some hesitancy resulting from lack of confidence? I dunno.
I don't believe that he's stupid either. But I strongly suspect that GRob has some type of learning disability that makes it difficult for him to: A) process multiple run/pass-blocking assignments; B ) execute the planned play call; and/or, C) adjust to changes made by a particular defender or unanticipated line shift.
As this doesn't come 2nd nature to him, he's constantly "thinking" instead of playing. And this is why he hasn't enjoyed much success as an individual player and hampers the OL unit.
There had to be some red flags during scouting.
