Yes, the FG was good. But, as others have mentioned, it allowed Philly to burn at least another 90 seconds off the clock. 90 seconds that we sure could've used at the end of the game. Instead, we got all that lateral nonsense.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Though Whitworth has never reminded me of Orlando Pace, he and the rest of the O-line have performed pretty well this season and I expect it to continue into the playoffs. Will the Von Millers, Everson Griffins, and Joey Bosa's of the NFL beat him from time to time? Sure. But I'm confident that he will more than hold his own. A big thing, though, is whether we can get him and our other oldeby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Though I don't consider Sammy Watkins to be an "elite" WR (ala Julio Jones), I do see him as a legit #1-type of receiver. Despite this, I've declined endorsing the Rams resigning him pending proof that he can stay healthy. With 13 games into the season, those concerns have been alleviated. Pending an end-of-the-season MRI on his surgically-repaired foot, I think the Rams should tryby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
First the great: How about Kayvon Webster's 4th quarter open-field tackle of Michael Thomas at the 2-yard line? Thought that was a TD for sure. The bad: Can we please get rid of that Gurley dive on short-yardage (the one where he lines up as a fullback with Austin in the I)? I've no problem with Gurley getting the ball, but let's get a TE or another T in there and go "smash-mouth."by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

Don't know the exact number of touches that Tavon Austin had against the Texans, but I got the impression that there was more than usual. And not only that, I thought the plays were fairly similar and, well...bland for him. I don't remember them being them being the jet sweep, end-a-round types. More like a bunch of stretch hand-offs. As has been mentioned, LA sports fans love winners. Losers? Not so much. USC has a legacy of winning national championships since the 70's that continued into the early to mid-2000's under Pete Caroll. And although they haven't been in any real contention for a national championship recently, they have had a few seasons where they've held pre-season top-5 rankings. Thanks for the information. For some reason, I don't recall seeing that explanation for the pick. I've seen some evidence of the quick release positives, but the accuracy thing appears to be a little up and down to me at the moment. QuoteRams43 <snipped> I am not privy to the play-call on the play, so this is solely my opinion based on what I know of passing schemes and NFL offenses. It is my belief that Watkins ran the wrong route on the play. The route originally did call for Watkins to run a stutter-and-go, but that was if Peterson played off coverage. QuoteSpeed_Kills Dude is playing outstanding football. He is a playmaker I still have no idea why Fisher chose Goff over Wentz. But I think it would behoove McVay, Goff, Watkins, Kupp, and Woods, to spend a couple of days this week reviewing the concepts of McVay's schemes. I think that Watkins and Goff are making progress in terms of getting on the same page, but aren't quite there yet (i.e. Goff's corner endzone pass that I believe Watkins misread). Nah... After last week's meeting with McVay, I'm sure that Sammy was hustling out there. I just don't believe that Sammy and Goff are on the same page yet. Then there were others where the pass was delivered to one shoulder where Sammy was looking over the other. The main take away I haby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
NYJ's TE just had a play like Gurley's from last week. Caught the ball on a short out at the 5-yard. Became a runner and battled to the goal line. As he's approaching (makes it to) the pylon, the ball, ever so briefly, comes out before being resecured. The play was originally rules a TD, but upon further review it is ruled a fumble out of the endzone for a New England touchback. At leastby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 <snipped> That is poor coaching. Throw him some quick slants and let him be physical like the Monday night game. Use him in the short game. Than after he gets a flow, go deep.
