He sounded very measured and straight forward. I also agree with him that the officiating was awful, not only on those plays he talks about but throughout the entire game. How PI was not called against them on the Reynolds pass is just a mystery.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Meanwhile, yesterday they end up with 3 injured OL (counting Noteboom), 2 green replacements, and 2 guys playing out of position. When that happens it's not going to look good. The mistake is to then act like what you're seeing is a result of a talent deficit. As opposed to having a situation when no OL looks good (or at least it's rare in the extreme) under those conditions. .... Thby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM The mood swing will be so severe my guess is we all suffer whiplash and be in neck braces after the game. YES THE NINERS LOST!!!!! OH CRAP the Hawks won. YES THE HAWKS LOST!!!!! OH CRAP the Niners won. I hate both of these teams and I find it almost impossible to root for either one, but... Put a gun to my head and in this case I would have to hope the Whiners win. QuoteRam_Ruler 2 big bodies on the outside with lockett as the deep threat. Assuming he even plays for them.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
I vote no. He's been kicked to the curb too many times. Sadly, the guy has issues that go beyond football. He needs to get himself straightened out first and foremost. The Rams don't need to take that on.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Last night was the first game I've seen of them, other than the Rams game. They employ a quick, short passing style attack that looked very effective, at least against the Cards. We will need to plan to counter that style of attack. I hate to say it, but Jimmy Jesus played lights out. He was very accurate and on point, although it doesn't look like he has that strong of an arm. With Brieby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice to see that ole' 43 optimism back again! After that 3 game losing streak I was getting worried about you as it was getting downright negative! Just bustin' your chops a little 43. I also think that there are some signs of encouragement but that OL remains a big, big concern. Not to mention the mystery that is Gurley and his usage. If we can finish 7-1 to end 12-4, we're in the postby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah I've lived in So Cal (Orange County) my entire life and I don't remember it being this bad as it has been the last few years. Sure, this time of year is always "Santa Ana Winds" season and we have had a few years where fires broke out but not like this. What's it been, around 5 years in a row now? It's crazy, and it's sad for those affected.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
I pretty much agree with everything you said. While watching the game, especially in the 2nd half when we were up 2 TDs, I got the distinct feeling the McVay "called off the dogs", like you mentioned. It also looked to me like the team as a whole just didn't have the intensity we'd like to see, especially on defense against the run, and I attribute that to playing the winless Bengalby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 Rams only stinker really was the 49er game when they lost their identity. Get the ball to Kupp early and often, get a lead, have Donald rush the passer. That is the formula. I think Goff had like 12 passing attempts at one point in the 4th quarter which explains the 7 points. OMG! What a great idea! I wonder why the Rams haven't thought of having Donald rush the passer!by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn QuoteRamsFanSinceLA In my speculation, it looks to me like he is pissed that the play failed so badly. If so, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I mean that blocking was horrendous. Havs missed his, Blythe was simply ineffective, Allen and Edwards got knocked to the ground. Plays fail badly all the time, all over the league, and we can certainly come up with our share froby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, me too. I usually go to one game a year and I picked the Tampa game because I thought it would be a sure win. Oops. :bangheadby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Ramsey and Littleton are outplaying Gurley and Brockers. Don’t think that’s debatable. Nobody is saying that Gurley and Brockers can no longer play. Just that both are being outshined this season. Everybody wants to wait until next offseason to make the change, fine by me. If it were my call though? I would reward Ramsey and Littleton with the honor sooner than later. All rby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Because Brockers already has one foot out the door, if only for cap considerations. And Gurley is now a shadow of his former self. No longer a stud even on his own team. Meanwhile, Ramsey is an elite player that seems to have transformed our D possibilities and Littleton is playing at Pro Bowl level. Not sure if Littleton will be extended, but his current production far exceedsby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Why not drop Gurley and Brockers and replace them with Littleton and Ramsey? Just a thought. NMby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Quoteramsfaninmd I did. He looks at the Rams bench. Agree to disagree. You think he's that much of a punk? I don't. I think he has more class than that. I didn't read anybody calling Gurley a punk. This is all interpretation of a short video clip, but he clearly does not follow the Falcons player. He is obviously pissed, but unless he tells one of us what he is pissed abouby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotepromomasterj Goff gets dinged for not lighting up the Falcons poor defense, but the O-line looks good - only generating 72 yards rushing against one of the worst fronts in football. That's my issue with the grading logic. True, good point. They did not deserve a B, especially against that front. I guess I was more focused on the Goff part.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills what I think stands out to me is that Blythe looked so lost and there was a lot of that the other day. Heck look at the other two clips JB posted smh Agreed Speed. He has been a weak link all season. Havs has regressed, and Allen, IMO, has been decent at times and then just not good at other times. Our OL is clearly our biggest problem.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz I'm no expert but it looks to me like its the C's responsibility to seal off the DT while A.Blythe pulls to kick out on the toss play. That's what it looks like to me too. Allen completely whiffed his block, although Blythe got completely rag-dolled by the guy he ended up trying to block.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotepromomasterj Both get a B. Author compliments the O-liine saying things like Brian Allen Improved and havenstein was like his old self. But then dings the RB's for only managing 72 yards rushing combined. Goff was 'ok' according to this article - with 2 passing td's, a rushing td - and no turnovers. Interesting assessment Definitely interesting, but I kinda agree with the assessmenby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotepromomasterj I think Gurley still has a lot left and his lack of production seems to be tied to the same lack of production from Henderson, and before that Brown. Yesterday both backs averaged under 3 yards a carry. Against the Falcons. Pathetic. Next wee we are facing the worst front 7 in the NFL - if we can't run on them, we can't run on anyone. Is it blocking? The scheme? A combinby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com

We are literally trading away our future. I don't like it. I know Ramsey is one of the best CBs in the league but he has baggage. He showed up to training camp in a Brinks truck this year. He wants to get paid. How are the Rams going to work that out? I'm sure they have a plan but it seems like we are going to be so top heavy with big contracts we will have zero depth, even more so than wby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
That's 14 games, almost a full season. 8-6 is barely above average. What happened since then? -Teams started using that 6-1 defensive front, almost negating our wide running game -OL has regressed, and this year it's not very good -Goff has regressed, although he still has some great moments -Gurley isn't the same and this year it SEEMS like he has some sort of attitude -After having gby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems like they get that every stinkin' season! They've been so lucky that they are in a division with no competition and hasn't been for years. Go away Cheatriots!by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure if it was the Whiners being that good or the Browns being that bad, but I hate to admit the Whiners look explosive. They have a lot of speed on that team that we're going to have to contend with. I see two things that we have struggled with so far this season that don't bode well with what I saw last night. Our defense is going to have to play much better than they have the lastby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 He did that crap with the Packers on getting penalties to keep opposing drives going with unforced unnecessary roughness. I feel badly that he is injured, but wish he could keep the aggressive play but filter the 15 yard flags. C'mon man, that wasn't even close to being a penalty. He hit Wilson in the shoulder, with his shoulder, right as Wilson threw the ball. So it wasn't laby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
In a 16 game schedule I would argue they are all must win, unless you have home field locked up and nothing left to gain. We're not there yet!by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield That's exactly my point -you saw the head to head on replays and pictures. I did too and agree with the helmet to helmet. But I too was at the game with really good seats to see the play and the only way I could see the helmet to helmet was watching the play on review. My point was that refs don't have the benefit of that review before making the call and whatever call they make cby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield Were you there? Yes I was. After the game, I saw a picture of the guy right before he made contact with Peters. It was taken from the back of the end zone so the perspective was good.
