First, that is a very good deal for the Raiders. They didn't have to give up their 1st's or 2nd's for him. I guess my thing though is the contract extension. You're wanting to pay this guy a guaranteed $30M over his declining years (31-34) but wouldn't/didn't/couldn't pay Khalil Mack -- someone who is in his prime years? Well, I guess the Ray-duh's have their WR now. Good luck to Chuby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
...he is just a knucklehead. It's tough to win with a lot of knuckleheads on the team. And no, I am not a "4 Pillars" sort. But I think you do have to keep your knucklehead count to a minimum on your team. Especially at the most important position on the team (I.E. the QB position). If I saw those red flags in college, no way would I waste even a late round pick on someone like tby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I see them moving back to SD. They have a ready made fan base already there. Sure, they are upset with them now. But they would be more than happy to welcome them back. Especially if they start putting out a winning product on the field once again. Never understood why they wanted to share the LA market with Stan in the first place. But I wish they would do it like it was a playoff game -- that is, keep playing until one team finally scores. In this day and age though with player safety being a focus, I realize that would never happen. But I hate seeing ties. Even the NHL has been trying to get rid of those things for a few years now. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
This team has enough offensive talent now. And while I am not a "Oh noes! What about the locker room!" sort of guy, he still is too much of a headache for me. Rams have good chemistry going with Goff and his receivers now. Don't want to mess with it now. I see him more of a Jerry Jones/Cowboys acquisition. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Now I can see if any players I saw getting cut landed on various practice squads or not. Thanks again! Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I forgot which media person/outlet said it. But they were claiming that Donald was getting "bad advice" and this was not going to end well for him. I think AD did just fine. He got the biggest contract ever (for now, anyway) for a defense player. And he didn't have to go through the rigors of a training camp or those stupid exhibition games (though McVay prolly wouldn't have playeby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
The Saints wearing white at home, anyway. Turns out they will play one of their home games with the white uniforms. Sean Payton apparently lost a bet with Doug Pederson on the golf course. So apparently the wager was what color of uniforms they would wear. Since he lost, the Saints will be wearing the white uni's when they face off against the Eagles in New Orleans. That he's no darn good anymore. I suppose he's worth a look and all. But he sure hasn't looked like the same player he once was of late. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it was Alien 3. It was nowhere near as good as the first firms (especially Aliens). We stayed until the end but it was close to both of us walking out of that one. Joe C.by brgjoe - Bucky's Pub
You haven't been dismissed yet! You must ignore all your family and work responsibilities and continue doing this for us! Just kidding of course. I, for one, really have enjoyed your thoughts and evaluations over the years for the NFL draft. It has really been educational. Especially for one who doesn't see a lot of college football these days. Thanks so much for all you have done. Aby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
.. just give him the Executive of the Year award now. Only halfway joking. But if they can get him and get him signed, all's forgiven as far as letting Sammy Watkins go. I mean, as far as talent exchanged, OBJ would be a serious, serious upgrade. Even with his immaturity. Get this done, Les! Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Having him and Crabtree on the same team. Training camp scrimmages would be very interesting. ;) Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
But was pretty darn good with Cleveland. Which amazes me considering how bad their QB situation has been. But don't know what happened to him in Washington. He had a case of the dropsies a lot. A friend of mine said he also seemed to be lost out there when trying to run the correct routes. Whatever the case, he was a disappointment there. Would definitely be interested him him -- at theby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Always have enjoyed your posts in the past. It was great to meet you as well during one of the Herdfests years ago. This board will definitely be less interesting and fun without you. Take good care during your hiatus (I hope that will be all that it is). And hope you return most soon-like too! Fare thee well, Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought his game would be better if he would have stayed in the element-free Dome. But I also can't blame the guy for cashing out. I mean, he has been cut multiple times. And finally got a chance to shine with a good team around him. By all accounts he's a class act. So I can't help but root for the guy. And good for him for getting a nice payday. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought maybe the Jag's, since they lost their #1 WR to the Bears. Oh well. Would have liked to have Sammy back. But probably knew some club would throw enough $$ at him that he would probably leave. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Very saddened to hear of his passing. :( Really enjoyed his posts on here. Definitely a true fan. My sympathies and condolences to his family during this tough and difficult time. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Philly torched them because Coach Hoodie and the Cheatriots were gameplanning off the fake walkthru! ;) Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
IIRC, his accuracy wasn't that great at Georgia. But his accuracy did get better in the NFL. But you're right -- generally it is a red flag when someone isn't accurate in college. Usually that doesn't get better. Unless some smart coach spots a mechanical flaw or something and he corrects that. Rightly or wrongly though, I see a lot of QB's going in the 1st round this year. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with Spag's. Something I haven't said for a few years now. ;) Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
For one, I didn't think he was that explosive. That was my first "Whoa...this guy is better than I give him credit for." Plus it was an awesome play to go the distance on 3rd down and 5000 yards to go (or whatever it was). That left that crowd both silent and shocked. Always does my heart good to thrash a NY team as well. That would be my pick. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Whitworth was a godsend for the Rams this year. He turned a huge minus position into a plus position. And a huge plus he was. He really helped solidify that line. But while he played at a high level this season, how many more seasons can you expect that? Best to draft his replacement now and groom him for the position. So a tackle would be high on my list. I like Quinn. I thought he haby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Since they were still in commercial and missed the play live. It was a cluster all around. I don't know why it was allowed to stand up. And yeah, the Titans were offsides as well. Oh well. Doesn't matter in the end. Still bugs me though that this was allowed to happen. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Doing well...can't really complain. But more importantly, how are you and Frank doing? I haven't been to the other boards in awhile -- and I remember you having a health scare or two. Definitely hope you are doing well these days! Still feels a bit strange not to get ready to go to Rams homes games. Probably will feel like that for awhile. Oh well. Miss seeing you all at the Herdfestby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
It was great having those Cardinals players root on the Rams that day. And like you said, I didn't think they would have a prayer against the Saints that day. But lo and behold, they pulled that upset. Don't know what it is, but it seems lately the Rams have always played the Saints tough, despite New Orleans typically having better talent. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
No, seriously I do. They are amongst the most loyal and passionate fans anywhere. That team hasn't won much of anything in decades. And finally they hope with all those draft picks and a new front office that perhaps things might be ticking upward. Then crap like this happens. How do you mess something like this up? And even if the trade went through -- that's a big price to pay for a gby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
