... slow and sometimes looking completely unprepared. A couple of years ago, they got blown out by a very average Vikings team. That day too just looked like they weren't ready for the game. They certainly didn't look ready for prime time offensively last night. Did they have more than 1 3rd down conversion? Same crap as last year. Don't know if I would fire Fisher so soon, but Iby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the clarification. Wasn't sure if I heard that right or not. I hope you are right that Fisher will get Goff some more repetitions than perhaps a #3 guy ordinarily would get. He really needs all the practice time he can possibly get. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
...Mannion and Goff every other week? If so, then Goff would get at least a few more rep's than he would if he was always the #3 guy. Still not a lot of rep's for him to be had in practice, but better than nothing. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok, maybe I am panicking when I don't have to. But...you put all those draft resources into selecting the top pick in the draft, and he sits on the bench -- essentially in street clothes? I get it that he was outplayed by Keenum/Mannion. But to put him at #3? You hardly get any reps at all. At least not as a QB (don't they usually put those guys on the scout team?) You make the move to draft a QB with the #1 pick in the draft. Basically going to go all-in on this choice. What I would have hoped is/was that you would also get the best OC and the best QB coach you could find that's available. I'm not convinced that's the current coaching situation for the Rams. Which is a shame. You should get the very best around to coach someone you put a heck of a loby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
And if it is close, I think the nod will go to Goff. If he falters or is definitely deemed not ready, then it will go to Keenum to start out the season. I just don't see any way that Sean Mannion leapfrogs BOTH of them. Unless he is like nearly perfect in every execution in practice and in preseason games and Keenum/Goff are somehow gawdawful in their efforts. Cloudy for much of the night and the morning. Then it rained. So wasn't able to see any of them. Hopefully tonight will be different. <fingers crossed> Joe C.by brgjoe - Bucky's Pub
Very sorry to hear that. Wow. Just wow. Am so glad they got him to the hospital in time! And praying for Ramsrule to make a full and complete recovery from this! Hang in there! Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, I don't remember hearing reports about this sort of thing while at Auburn. Nor much of anything before this with the Rams. Don't understand how he could go off the deep end so quickly.. Joe C.by brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Would be wondering if this is the year Robinson takes the next step up and starts to become the LT that they envisioned when they drafted this guy so high. And would be interested in learning how the OL is meshing as well. A good OL would go a long way into helping Goff develop and prosper in his rookie season. So I am hoping this offensive line will actually become one of the better ones inby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com
Wish I could, though! But I think my work schedule won't allow it that weekend. You put on a tailgate experience that is second to nobody. Thanks for all your hard work! Really had a good time at the home opener. Thanks again, sir! Go Rams! Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Hope to see you there! Will probalby be leaving in the morning myself. Just hope it isn't too dang hot out there for tailgating! (yeah, I know..whine, whine, whine...) :) Safe journey's to ya, Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Depending on work schedules -- definitely will attempt to get the weekend off to get down there. Missed the last Herdfest, hope to make this one! Go Rams! Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Mind if I use a few of them on my Facebook page? Though too bad you didn't get a shot of Frank knocking over my Budweiser can. You know, aren't there local laws in STL that make it a capital offense to spill beer uncessarily? Then again, maybe they've relaxed those laws now that Budweiser is not owned by the Busch family any longer. ;) Those are some nice pictures -- yeah, it would've beeby brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
As I wrote on the other Herd board, I think perhaps some Belgium beer would be nice. So I'll bring a 6 pack or two of Budweiser. Heh. :beercan Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Got most of the basic food groups covered there. At least all the ones that taste good. :P I should be there. Look forward to seeing everyone at Herdfest once again! (and yes, I wouldn't turn down some Grey Goose either). Heh. Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
And still the Drury was sold out! Maybe they also had a convention there this weekend or something. So am staying at the Holiday Inn Select down at the convention center. Used Expedia to book .. something like 115/night or something like that. Sure it will be more with taxes and stuff. :P Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Leaving for STL this AM and staying downtown for the weekend. Am definitely ready for some FOOOOOOOTBAAAAALLL! Joe C.by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
Nice menu too. So I really hope I can make it! Basically that weekend I will either be: 1) In Chicago. 2) Going to Herdfest by myself. 3) Going to Herdfest with myself and 2 other friends (one of which is actually a Redskins fan .. must be related to Daniel Snyder or something!) Will see what my plans are as the date approacheth. BYOB might be "Bring your own Boat"by brgjoe - The RamsFootballFans.com Tailgate Party
