Nationally there is no buy in just yet on the Rams. The Rams need the signature game yet.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Give that to any QB and the QB will play much better. For those that never get that, they really don't have much of a chance barring a handful of QBs in the league. I think this season we are seeing a repeat of what Martz meant to the Rams with Goff and Gurley with what McVay is doing. McVay has made the difference by so many great coaching moves with creating space, uncertainty on oppoby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
There is no reason to have to choose. May have to cut loose Austin and hold back signing any other free agents, that type of thing. If you have to trade Johnson that may be something that has to be done as well.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
and a great story. Jackson really is a wonderful story. I saw another clip a while back when he was still playing that was equally impressive how he liked photography which kind of goes with architecture. Early in Jackson's career, I felt he was on the way to knucklehead land, but boy did he completely turn it around as he became a veteran. Tremendous work ethic and maturity made him theby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
especially last year with Fisher, the guy that hired Bounty Man, as you never know about his ethics. But we did see those first 4 games. It did happen. I stick to the battered runningback syndrome created by the most predictable and limited offense in NFL history. He started looking at the 5 defensive guys in the backfield on the easy read and became a runningback with no aggressivenessby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams had a defense that was a playoff defense and you draft a development player 2nd in the draft that may be a good player 3 or 4 years down the line. To boot, it was at a position that didn't touch the ball or rush the passer. NFL - Not for Long Quinn's early demise because of injury happens all the time. When you have a strong unit like the Rams had on defense, you can't draft for plby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I get what they are doing. Gurley if he can get back to his first 4 games forms will make the Rams offense special. Hopefully in a few weeks all the parts are going and this is a top 10 offense which I believe is where it is heading.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
It is tragic and people can't help themselves to see the fall out. Sad society is like that. As tempting as it is to go watch a few plays for me to relive those days is way too much to handle. The head scratching plays to kill drives and momentum messed up many of Sundays.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Offensive Scheme predictability sucked the life out of Gurley. Greg Robinson mistakes probably hurt the passing game more than the running game, but you can bet there were a fair amount of assignments missed in running game too. The lack of space and 5 defensive players in the backfield on the snap because of the predictability eventually had Gurley preparing for the hits instead of lookingby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
but I get it. The Rams beat a very good team last year but yes it did, it felt like a team going nowhere and not they lose to a below average team and it feels like there is hope Hard to imagine, but that is exactly the feel.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I did not see game yet, but his stats looked better.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
While I am in the minority and don't think the Rams would have done as well if Vermeil stayed, (i.e. Chiefs situation where they declined after he build it up and never made it back to the playoffs after that 1 game) I still think he does belong in the Hall Of Fame and his career is similar to Kurt Warner's. 2 Superbowl appearances with 2 different teams and rebuilt both of them. I don't think the Rams make it back to the superbowl in 2001 if Vermeil stays. That Chiefs team had a top offense and lost in the first round of the playoffs. The only playoff game they played. The defense failed them in that game in a high scoring game against the Colts and Peyton Manning. The defense needed an overhaul but Vermeil stayed with this guys because he is so loyal. But he was Issac #2. What a great pair of WRs they were. Some of the greatest overachievers in NFL history. They were great because they fine tuned their craft!by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick release, ability to see things before they happened, and toughness He just didn't have the arm of Marino. Marino is probably underrated in all-time greats. He never had a defense or running game.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
just that - he surrounded himself with other good coaches and has enough self confidence to share the spotlight. That part if "Vermeil Like".by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
he rode Martz's residual positives, but it started to fall apart and players regressed. I lay Bulger going down hill (lots of it on Linehan) He didn't stay on him on details and he eroded fundamentally and preparation wise. I feel he is doing a good job with the Cowboys, but NOT good enough. With that offensive line and the talented top WR that should be a dominant offense just not a greaby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Players are prepared Players are motivated Players are challenged He finds ways to put players in position to make plays He creates space on offense He has the opposing defense thinking instead of reacting and that creates further favorable matchups Players are solid fundamentally The offense is dynamic and not predictable Bottom Line: Players are playing better than they were previouby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
and he just looked incredible those first 4 games so it is either: 1) He has a physical issue that has been kept under the bed 2) He is suffering from battered runningback syndrome from the Fisher offensive oppression where he had 5 guys in the back field before he touched the ball. or maybe a combinationby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

I am sticking to my battered runningback syndrome and he can get mentally healthy and physically healthy. When you get hit behind the LOS by 4+ players everytime you rush the ball for a season, it creates uncertainty and you play slower. That is still my theory. The Fisher offensive oppression has him shell shocked still.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
He may be even better than anybody expects. You would think Watkins, but I just don't know. I cannot believe he dropped so low in the NFL draft. (Kupp) He is a steal.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
QBs are not going to play well for him. He is bad in that area. So why not be really good in the other areas to offset. I honestly believe that Brady would be a bad QB with Fisher. Only QBs that can do things on their own, a mobile QB, that can improvise and make plays can be successful under Fisher. He is just so bad in that area. Maybe, a Aaron Rodgers could still be successful, buby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
No need to sugar coat it Fisher was a mess when it came to anything to do with offense. And especially QBs. If he had remain, Goff would never have recovered. Now, do I know for sure Goff will play like last week all season. No. But now he at least has a chance.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I truly believe this is a star. As high as I am on Watkins, I believe Kupp will be playing at a high level as well. Both are pro bowl type players if Goff can play well.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
