Give that to any QB and the QB will play much better.
For those that never get that, they really don't have much of a chance barring a handful of QBs in the league.
I think this season we are seeing a repeat of what Martz meant to the Rams with Goff and Gurley with what McVay is doing. McVay has made the difference by so many great coaching moves with creating space, uncertainty on opposing defense, player development, energy, pace, confidence, etc. and having WRs that are better and a left tackle has helped as well.
Goff may never be a great QB, but now he has a chance to be a grow into a good one which he never would have had with the status quo.
Why in the world it took over 10 years for the Rams management to try the only thing that worked in the last 25 years a second time is so puzzling?
1) Get better offensive coaching
2) replace robinson at left tackle
3) Get better WRs (Sammy Watkins trade was genius)
