Whit and Sully are doing it on the line. Goff has been doing it behind it. Tree has been the leader on D. Donald not being here is diluting the chemistry. Pace was never the leader, and that's why that line never gelled until Tim stepped in to lead it. Using him as an analogy is a false equivalent. Donald is a leader, and he needs to be here and exhibit the maturity to lead by example. To me,by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com

No excuses for Higgs now. He's got the coach, the QB and nothing but opportunity. It's the time for him to show what he has. Was pretty excited when we drafted him, and when we brought Coach in, was pretty happy that we might finally see some good TE schemes and play.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
While I agree with ZNs premise that the Fish's first game losses are a matter of perception, the limp play was not. As stated, the Rams didn't "play tough" in many of those games. Even the ones we did win were kind of like the three win streak we took after the loss last year. Ya, we won, but there wasn't a lot of people convinced in our play. People in LA were buying season tickets to Chargers games and flipping them to out of town fans for a nice margin. They used those faux LA metrics to justify this dumb move. But, like the Clippers, if they win and we lose, "loyalties" will flip and "fans" will crawl out of the woodwork. Ten years ago you couldn't give Clip tics away. We don't know what we have here yet. Do you project TA to be a terror this year? If it happens, I'd be overjoyed, but I personally think he's miscast as a downfield threat. We'll see. I do see Gurley stepping back up to the plate, but that's not quite what we're talking about. I guess the easy answer would be because they saw what they thought his potential would be. After going over the four page reply to a post LA put up earlier, that would support this. The last regime shot for potential and swung for the fences. Simple as that. The point of my post was none of that. Just responding to what I saw as fact, and that this writers analogy was spot-on. Jared Goff. An obvious choice. Maybe THE choice. Sorry if that was the obvious answer. To me it is as well, but that does not make it not the answer. We can discuss the icing on the cake all you like. B)by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com

Much hinges on Sullivan. That he called the protections so well Coach had him back off to give Goff some brain-work tells you what a pro the guy is and the mental aspect he brings. This O line needs that. I don't want to depend on this guy cause I'm so afraid he's gonna Saf me and come up lame in September. He's being taught an offense by the man who's designed a successful playbook, will be calling the plays without interference, and has both energy and passion. All enormous differences from what he received his rookie season. Something tells me coach doesn't puke his guts out before every game... So here's mine. I think we need to find out what we have behind Goff, and we need Shawn to get some traction with the ones in Goff's limited time in the first couple of games. Do we have a backup or not? I'd like to see any and every flavor of this O line develop the semblance of a push. I'd like to see the new O draft picks get significant playing time with both QBs. There could be a lot of debate about the true value of Cousins, what his ceiling is and under what systems he can perform, but there is little doubt that he has the tools to get the job done. Don't want to see him in SF, either. He's fine right where he's at.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com

Well, no disrespect, but there are two sides to every story. Where were all of these plans when the lease was up for negotiation? But I also agree with the premise of another article that was posted here recently. The stamp of that culture starts at the top, and that can but does not have to be the FO.
