Here’s DR RAM... Here we go. I am just going to call it, as I've examined it, straight up, good and bad. First look: Rams were not prepared to go against a motivated, and determined team in the Ravens, who not only got their butt kicked all week, but had to hear about it, in the media. Bring in John Harbaugh, who happens to believe in game planning, and putting a larger premium in winninby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that it’s a rather small number, really. Maybe around 14-16. These are my “almost certain” to make it players: QB. Goff RB. Gurley, Brown. OL. Whit, Saffold, Sully, JB, Hav, Blythe, Noteboom, Demby (maybe) WR. Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Cooper, Thomas, Reynolds. TE. Higbee, Everett. That’s only 19 O players that are semi-locks, and a couple of them are not 100%, themselves,by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, the owners would be well advised to do what they can to keep their respective fans happy. Just like supermarkets, gas stations, and restaurants have to. Look, the trend is obvious. Fewer exhibition games and more regular season games. Owners want more revenue? Gotta give the fans more meaningful games. Pretty simple. Remember when fans paid regular prices for SIX exhibition gameby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I love coach McVay. I mean, I really love the guy. But I have to point out one thing here. Starters can get hurt in practices and scrimmages, too. Not just in games. Yet we use our starters in these practices and scrimmages for obvious reasons. Yeah, it’s a difficult balancing act, but limited play by starters in PS games makes a ton of sense to me. The risk/reward favors the reward hby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam If the Rams really have the makings of a possible SuperBowl team, you cannot have a guy who shows so poorly as Mannion and then a guy behind him who has never started and NFL game as the back up. We need an old 8-10 year or more (if needed) vet who can come in a play well for a couple of games if needed. You can't develop both your young starting QB and a young back up. I just want to see our backups be competitive. Maybe a gem or two like Kupp, Ebu, and JJ last year. Guys that definitely exceeded expectations, you know? Rams vs. Ravens: Studs and duds from L.A.'s 26-point loss Cameron DaSilva The Los Angeles Rams kicked off the 2018 preseason on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, but not with a bang. They were dominated by a score of 33-7, failing to get into the end zone until the fourth quarter. As with every game, there were some players who stood out for all the right reasons, as wellby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Aaron Donald facing $405K fine for skipping Rams' preseason opener Cameron DaSilva Thursday night’s preseason opener was an ugly one for the Los Angeles Rams as they were wiped by the Baltimore Ravens, 33-7. The offense was almost non-existent, the defense was gashed on the ground for 140 yards and they were flagged 11 times for 87 yards. Of course, hardly any of the starters actuallby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sean McVay unsure if Rams starters will play vs. Raiders next week Cameron DaSilva Only two projected starters for the Los Angeles Rams saw the field on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens in Samson Ebukam and Jamon Brown, but that’s not atypical for a team’s preseason opener. QuoteramBRO Dude lives in the OC just an hour down the road. Since the team is practicing in Irvine, there's no reason not to meet with him to gauge his interest in coming out of retirement. He'll be local; won't be required to take a full season's worth of punishment (if at all); and, can serve as a mentor to another Cali QB who was in a similar situation as he when he came out of USC. I mean, they ALL played so poorly, except for Davis and Kelly. Difficult to separate the Cause from the Effect, really. The result was a hot mess of an O last night. QuoteRamgator OBVIOUSLY, we have to be healthy almost across the board to have any chance. Did the Niner starters play for more than one series, gator? Just asking. I am concerned that McVay refusing to play his 1's at all sends a message to the team that they should fear getting injured, that the game isn't worth anything, and thus they should play mainly not to get hurt. Forget actual performance. I suspect that might be too strong, but that's how I felt about it. Honestly, I don’t think that that’s too strong, Rock. Of course. This was the nightmare other extreme. But I stand by my position. Healthy starters should be perfectly able to play ONE series, at least, in the 1st PS game. Heck, the ticket paying fans deserve at least that. Otherwise, let’s trim this farce of PS games down to just 2 so we can get on with seeing the actual starters start in the next 18 games. Now, bear with me here. Ravens typically only carry 2 QB’s on their 53. Flacco and Jackson are gonna stick, obviously. RG3 might get traded/cut and his salary is only $1 million.
