Where's your Christmas spirit? 
Unfortunately I think it was also true... or had a lot of truth in it.
My family is quite jovial pre-Holidays and the day of the Holiday.... except pre-Christmas. Nothing really 'bad' just a lot of stress and anxiety. BUT....
Decorations day is VERY festive. Although my assigned role during decorations day is to "stay the hell out of the way". I used to be in charge of setting up the tree... when we had a real tree... we no longer have a real tree so these days I have no duty whatsoever except, as I said, staying the hell out of the way. WHICH...
by the way, I more than gladly do. NOT because I'm lazy..... well, that too, but mostly because apparently I can't even set down a snow-globe correctly. "Oh my GOD, look what Papa did. Go to your room".
