Took me a while to get into C&W as well....

But it's not like I never liked it... I liked a lot of it. I have always listened to all genre of music at least a little.
Listening to all genre's I think was due to my music instructor... I started in band in the 4th grade and took to it immediately.
This Sat. my playing in a band days come to an end... band is breaking up. One of the guys in my band, however, is VERY C&W, (even though we play classic rock almost exclusively), and I've mentioned to him that if he'd like to start a 'casual' western band.... and I mean the 'oldies'... I'd be interested.
Frankly, 4 hours, or more, of playing hard rock at our gigs is more than these old bones can take these days.... and also: I have come to like old C&W very much. I also like the 'calmer' crowds... still like the 'rowdy' crowds but don't have the energy.
