that's certainly not my 'choice'.... it just fits the criteria I laid out for myself.
As I was pondering this I realized it's not often an entire song in which the drums win me over but far more likely just a short passage, doesn't even have to be a solo. Like Steve Gadd in "50 Ways To Live your Lover" and "Check E's In Love" in which the passage I adore is just a very few short notes.
I think Jeff Pocaro's ENTIRE performance on Toto's "Rosanna" is fantastic... but again, that wouldn't be my choice.
I am in total AWE with the speed of whoever that guy is that played "Through The Fire and Flames" with Dragonforce BUT... it's simply the speed that amazes me... what he actually does is VERY easy to figure out.
