Being happy with your onstage sound..

is critical, but rarely attained.. i know I was always happy with my monitor and Marshall sound, but always noticed it wasn't the same when the show began.. that's because I found out the singer told the soundman to turn my guitar mix through MY monitor down.. that's not even HIS business, but typical of most singers wanting to control everything..

Dang, man.. you guys got your money's worth outta those JBL's! I've had my Marshall cabinets since the late 80's and - somehow - have never had to replace any of the speakers, either.. My bottom (straight) cab has 2 Celestion speakers and 2 Altec Lansings - I normally mic the Altecs. the top can (slant) has all Celestions.. both cabs have been AMAZINGLY reliable, considering how hard I push them..
