I think we-dog owners-might tend to forget is that dogs-again like us-have arthritic conditions that can flare up-can you say Todd Gurley-and then "settle down". Pepper is 11 yrs old and as she has aged there are many occasions where she thinks about it but decides she can't jump up on our platform bed. Other times she simply jumps up without a care in the world. When she was younger she was almost on our bed. I'm sure its arthritis and its now and then flareups.
