I'm so sorry to hear this, Steve. It's also a bit weird for me because yesterday Juneau was limping and favoring her left front leg/paw. Might be extreme but the thought did cross my mind that maybe she could have a tumor or bone cancer. We couldn't tell exactly where on her leg was bothering her and she had a fit when we tried to look. She was listless all day, didn't want to eat or drink (except she DID scarf down some bits of cooked chicken) and we were really worried. I called the vet yesterday afternoon but he was booked and couldn't see her until Friday afternoon. We watched her like a hawk all evening until she went to bed at 9:30 pm (it's her routine).

We woke up Friday morning... and she's fine. No limping, appetite is back and we have NO idea what caused the limping yesterday. The only thing I can think of is that something bit her but I'd have no idea what. We don't have a fenced yard so when she goes outside.. she's always on a leash and we are with her in OUR yard which is grass.. no rocks, or debris of any kind. She doesn't jump up on furniture or go up and down stairs EVER so it couldn't have been from an injury doing that. We have no explanation for what happened. Whatever it was, it seems to have gotten tons better so I cancelled the vet appointment. Even so, we're keeping an eye on her and watching for any sign of recurrence. If we see any signs of limping again, we'll take her to the vet.
