I was in downtown St Louis at Union Station just finishing up our ride on the Polar Express train with grandson, his mom, and her boyfriend. As we were heading for our car in the parking lot, there were tornado sirens going off all over the city and county. We checked our weather apps and talked to Frank who stayed home, and felt we were safe to drive home rather than seek shelter downtown. There was a tornado in the area, but it was nowhere near where we were, near where we live nor anywhere on our route home. We got home just fine but tornado reporting was on the local networks for the rest of the night, especially after it hit Edwardsville and the Amazon distribution center. Two deaths so far. The building is destroyed. There's no good time for a tornado... but a distribution center right before Christmas just makes it even worse.
