Ringo Star has mentioned how he is actually left handed, but has always played on a right-handed drum set. Something about the old ways, and his grandma insisting that he learn to do things right-handed. Anyways, he had said that any of his unique rolls or fills were due to him kinda learning to play backwards. Not knowing anything about playing drums, it's hard for me to wrap my head around exactly what he's saying.... but I can understand where that could give him some unique timing... which is something that I do hear on some Beatle songs.
