No Sweets

So no sweets of any kind ever again in life? Or do you mean just not the sweets or quantity of sweets you're used to.
I read the other day that when Jennifer Aniston wants to splurge on sweets she'll eat ONE M&M. Geez. Why even bother?
When my bladder cancer was active, I couldn't have food made with tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, or any tomato product. That's hard on somebody who loves Mexican and Italian cuisines. But I found a recipe for Spaghetti with Nomato sauce and made it many times. Frank LOVED it. You use red bell peppers, beets, and sweet potatoes instead of tomatoes. It was pretty yummy. I even learned how to make my own pizza with white sauce! There are ways to satisfy the palette if you're open to some new things.
I can eat regular food now that my interstitial cystitis/bladder cancer is gone, but for a little over two years, my diet was severely restricted so I know what it's like not being able to eat foods you love. I looked at the restrictions as kind of an adventure and an opportunity to learn while figuring out what I COULD eat. I learned how to cook some pretty tasty stuff and learned a lot about ingredients along the way.
