I have and will eat Venison. I eat chicken, hamburgers etc etc. I understand the need to hunt for food, especially if you are rural and out in the sticks. What I do NOT get are the Cul De Sac guys who go into woods and feed deer for 9 months in one area and then come November, it's a Turkey Shoot. Also...Here in Florida, woodlands are shrinking EXTREMELY fast with POS strip malls and Cookie Cutter homes jammed 2 feet apart. Wildlife are rapidly running out of places to go. When my boys played Flag Football, their field was close to a new neighborhood. Deer would walk onto the other football fields just 40-50 yards away. I could have taken one out over my shoulder, shooting weak side.. If you hunt for food and live in the vast reaches of Texas or the Midwest, I sorta get it. But I'm sorry, I find it a bit disturbing to get off on killing and animal for sheets n giggles in a cramped place like Florida and follow it with the excuse of "I did it for animal control.
