that way it would be kind of like "catch and release". You shot it but you didn't have to kill it.
I don't get it 100% but I would have when I was a child. I bought hunting magazines and went hunting all the time... just to shoot and kill something. I think it must be something innate. Oddly enough, one day I shot a frog and that ended it for me. I never shot anything again. I can still picture it and if I could go back in time I would punch myself in the face.
