Sorry, ZN.
You're right. It's a sad state of affairs. I have a close friend who has had these kinds of ideas long before the pandemic: reptilians, underground cities, you name it. A few years ago, he bought in on that Mayan calendar end of time deal. I mean, he was actually buying stuff to try and survive the end of the world.
This is a college educated man who is otherwise an intelligent and kindhearted person. He has read widely from David Icke and Stuart Swerdlow.
I wondered why you apologized (?) then I re-read my post and realize how I came across. I was careless and just posting fast and didn't realize how I sounded. I could be taken as rebuking you. I honestly didn't mean it that way. I wasn't commenting on your post, just jumping off into mine. I don't find this state of affairs funny but I didn't manage to say that brother to brother style and (unintentionally) came across as saying "don't make jokes!" That's my fault. I should have said something like good joke, but, you probably agree that this state of affairs
in itself is not that funny.
You're right it's an era of conspiracy theories and mass madness.
What follows, of course, is another joke. Jokes are always okay. I can make jokes about the time I was hospitalized because of a super migraine. The jokes are funny...the situation was not.
