Bought me a Roland PM-200 Drum Speaker yesterday. I'm sick of not being able to hear myself while playing at gigs. And I cannot tolerate lousy sound when drums are played thru too small of a monitor to handle it. I was surprised that it will be here in a week... since Covid delivery takes forever for most things.
I've mentioned to you before that my band guys really can't tolerate much volume from the drums... so I'll probably turn the new Roland Speaker toward me while playing... which is fine, I'm in the Main PA anyway.
Not sure I'm going to have time to 'test' it but my electronic kit has a stereo option and the different kits are all preprogrammed for stereo. Not sure how much 'stereo' is output... volume left and right I mean. First time I hear it will be at the coming gig. Nothing like going new and untested at a live gig huh?
Sure sorry to hear about all your health problems, Steve. Yes, this getting old thing isn't the most pleasant thing in the world.
Every morning it takes me about 5 minutes to get the kinks out of my left elbow that I broke 30 years ago and never bothered me at all until just a few years ago. Now I sound like that Snap Crackle Pop cereal for about the first hour after waking up. - JamesJM
