I've said this mantra often before. That's due to the number of scholarships each school can give out. If your a talented high school player you have a better chance of being recruited and playing for Alabama than you would have if the scholar ships were limited. If you did that the old Bowl games would be far more interesting since each one would feature some really good players to watch.
