That's right, I didn't get much sleep last night.....
Me and 3 grandkids were in the Kitchen talking about food. Likes, dislikes. We were trying various food items purchased for the Holidays AND received as gifts. At the Italian Deli a few days ago I picked up some St. Agru Bleu... cheese, think Bleu Cheese on steroids. I got it for ME, knowing no one else would like it. In an effort to make my grandkids puke I brought out the St. Agru Bleu..... but I was in for a shock - 2 of the 3 grandkids actually liked it! I was so proud.
Brussel Sprouts were on my 'no list' for a long time, probably into my early 40's... but for some strange reason I now like them. Thanksgiving 2019 my daughter found a recipe for them that is really good... lots of real bacon bits mixed in... it's now a holiday tradition.
One recipe that I AM still alone in liking are Yams, (well, me and my sister who makes them)... baked with marshmallows and walnuts on top. Love it, and the odd thing is that I do not like marshmallows.
Probably the 'oddest' food item I LOVE was found by my youngest daughter on a trip to SF. It's chocolate ice cream, (but a special ice cream, I forget the name), covered in "OIL".
And again, it's a special oil, (I forget that name of that too). The two ingredients are very difficult to find so we have it rarely BUT OH MY is it wonderful.
