Re: Yeah...

Yeah-we can never "know" what it is but we can make sure we give them comfort and try ourselves to act normal. Right now I'm reflecting on my Springer's 10th birthday tomorrow. She' comes from a field line and loves, to run, swim, blah blah. While others see her still as a youngster I see her slowly becoming less tireless and losing her innated field chasing characteristics. She will run after game but nothing like before as she tires quickly. Sometimes she outright refuses like the dog in the Aaron Rogers commercial. It's sad because I know its just nature's way of telling us she -like all of us-are getting older and sometimes we find ourselves circling the drain slowly and slowly. Now I'm going to have a good cry.

It IS amazing. I STILL can feel hurt over my cat, Maxine, who died in 1983.
