I KNOW animals can grieve.

December 08, 2020 08:38AM
My ex and I had two cats. One died from Feline Leukemia. For MANY months, even after we divorced, the other paced around the house looking for the other. Granted, she was an older cat but in a relatively short time, her health declined.

You know the recent mess me and my Wife went through with out two cats. I will say, Colonel did not seem too upset about Bella passing but he STILL respected the routine of her being here. He would not eat where her bowl used to be. When we let him in to eat, he'd still look over his shoulder for Bella.

We now have two new kittens VERY close to the same age. Though not of the same litter, they are VERY VERY close. I hope it's 15+ years from now but when one passes, I KNOW it will be very rough on the other.

It IS amazing. I STILL can feel hurt over my cat, Maxine, who died in 1983.
