People and their selfish ways have made me cynical as hell. It might be why I have never gotten overly worked up, at all, during this Covid mess. I have stood by a pump panel of a Fire Engine, as someone's house is burning to a pile of ash and had people FLIP THEIR LIDS because I would not let them drive over our 5inch hydrant hose. About a year ago, we were working a all out Cardiac Red (Arrest). As we came out with the guy on the gurney, pumping on his chest, carrying monitors etc , a FINE neighbor cussed everyone out because our Ambulance was blocking her driveway. SOOO... Between that and people who simply do not bathe themselves, I have never had much faith in people doing the right thing. CYA is what it takes these days.
