zn, I think this city is effectively "done" with the virus..

October 16, 2020 06:19AM
Even tho its painfully obvious the virus is not done with us.. Averaging 30-50x as many infections per day as we were when the town went on shutdown, but now all our restaurants are open - not just curbside, but open to dine in - and not paying attention to the 50% capacity rule.. Most places a jam packed every night.. Bars just re-opened in time for one of the biggest party nights on the year - Halloween.. all our schools are open - everything is open and nobody is policing percentages, although every establishment DOES have a door guard making sure everyone has a mask.. but that's really it.. But here's one point: in our restaurants you're only required to wear them TO your table and FROM your table - which is flat out goofy and I think rules like that are making people shake their heads at the whole thing..

For a town this small to have that many infections per day is, imo, alarming.. Something ain't right in Mudville with how this city is handling this virus - and I'm not even sure this is the "second wave" yet..

I do see most people wearing masks.. I, of course, have a cool neck gaiter that i actually enjoy wearing in public, plus I wash my hands religiously and have sanitizer in every vehicle and at the house.. When I said this town is "done" with it, tho, the attitudes I hear from a LOT of people are that they're sick and tired of the restrictions and masks and are gonna live their lives.. and I think that's why we're seeing our numbers skyrocket..

With my current health conditions, I don't want it.. my wife is an RN and she says the hospital has opened up two more floors for covid patients, so now 4 of 8 floors are restricted to covid - and yet they keep coming.. Was it prophesy that said the hospitals would be the places to avoid due to sickness? I sure don't wanna go to a hospital anywhere..

On the subject of vaccines, its rather simple... if you watch a lot of zombie movies, this is EXACTLY how a LOT of them begin - with a vaccine not tested enough.. I know that's Hollywood, but still, its a valid point that rushing a vaccine could cause widespread problems..

Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
