I'll have to watch 4 episodes to do it but I've been watching that many or more every day anyway so I see no problem.
First a thanks... to 21Dog and Waterfield, for suggesting Bosch.... really, really, really good. Granted, the focus on 'politics' was a struggle for me... as I've said that topic aggravates the living hell out of me BUT... it was honest, pertinent, and they did it extremely well.
I didn't like it as much as Longmire but that's personal, I think it was every bit as well acted, told. Anytime I watch anything, (and these days it's nearly everything one can watch), taking place in the heart of a city all I can think is, "What a stinking sewer".. (sorry city dwellers)... and watching Longmire, or anything outdoor'sy I'm always thinking "Wish to hell I lived there"... so I'm prejudiced.
But to the 'heart' of why I'm posting... series, continuing stories.... never watched many of those during my lifetime.. as I've said here many time. I can't... I get sidetracked, or often just completely lose interest. So watching a series when it comes out is nearly impossible for me. Don't like that about myself but it is what it is. So being able to binge watch... or rather, being forced to binge watch, both Longmire and Bosch worked for me... I wouldn't never have made it watching the original airings and having to wait between episodes... (not sure how long it was between episodes with these two series when it originally aired?). So now I've got a problem:
Bosch is still breathing... and season 7 is coming up... meaning... 1st episode... wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, 2nd episode wait, wait.. and so forth. Waterfield loves waiting in lines... that won't bother him in the least... I'm not Waterfield.... just the thought of Season 7 has me suffering from severe anxiety.
Maybe I'll make it... maybe I'll just wait until Season 7 ends then binge watch it.
Onward and Upward, (that was my HS graduating class motto), would LOVE to find a good sci-fi series to get into but I'm not hopeful. I've tried many... wasn't too impressed by any of them... so I loved the original Star Trek, (which I did NOT see when it originally aired)... then 'tried' all the spinoff series but none of them clicked with me. So don't bother suggesting "next Generation" or the others. gotta be something 'different'. I'll begin searching right after the final episode of season 6 of Bosch this evening. - JamesJM
