Had a stint put in. I don't think the heart attack itself did much to harm me at all... the medications, however, which I am still on, I HATE. But the worst:
Was the 'mental' part... and I don't mean I gave up on life or anything like that... BUT... it was very discouraging, I was in GREAT shape when it happened, running 5-6 miles per day... so I started thinking... 'why try?'. That attitude has been with me until this year... when I started working out again.
But I think it's always that way with setbacks, no matter what type of physical/health setback it is... it's the 'mental' aspect that's the most difficult to overcome. - JamesJM
