although I did change my plans. I decided to do two workouts per day. Treadmill and my outdoors run. Started 2 days ago.
My reasoning - Treadmill and running are very different... requires some different muscle groups. My goal is a backpacking trip, so outdoors is MUCH better.. HOWEVER... summer is coming fast and it won't be long until were at 110º and occasionally I have to reschedule my normal workout time for the afternoon... and although when I was young I could handle running in 110º today I just don't think that's in the cards.
THUS... get in shape using both methods so when I have to get on the treadmill I can handle it. - JamesJM
