that was one of my fondest surprises... a hot dog car in NY. I mean... a hot dog is a hot dog, right? But no....
I don't know where they got their dogs but they were special... sauces and condiments were top of the line.
We've have had, perhaps still have, hot dog carts around here.... I've seen a few, VERY few, in my life.
Year's ago the Polish Dogs at Candlestick were divine... but they switched and it was never the same... still good, but nothing like the originals.
Ever been to a State Fair, Frank? I honestly believe the best food available you will find at State Fair. I haven't been to all that many... our local County Fair Fresno many the state fair in Sacramento.... let's see, twice in Oregon, perhaps 5 or 6 times in Nevada. Once in Arizona... and one is Texas, (I can't remember the city). The food at all of them was fantastic. - JamesJM
