This was the week I met Bradley in San Fran and had been to Reno with my manager for a sales conference.
It was the week Bush got elected for the first time (I have another hysterical story about that but cannot tell it here). Me and my boss decided to drive to SF rather than fly and go through Yosemite - because I had told him how awesome it was and he is a real outdoors type.
But It's November.
As we came through the valley the snow started to fall thick and fast.
It's a long time ago now and I can't remember how or why, but we got stopped and told they were closing the Park and should consider hunkering down if we didn't have snow chains.
My boss immediately said, it's okay we do and they let us go.
We didn't, and the ride back up the valley in super heavy snow in some basic 2-wheel drive sedan was the scariest of my life. We were sliding around all over the place and never passed another vehicle.
Anybody who has been to Yosemite knows how easy it would be to slide off the side.
Not really funny at the time, but we laughed afterwards.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
