And I live within 100 yards from one of my fields. There is really no concern with anything they are spraying with the exception of anything pesticide related. If/when we have to spray for soybean aphids you have to stay out of that field for 48 to 72 hours. That stuff will burn your skin. I have been in fields after spraying them with regular herbicides 10 mins. later and there is no concern. obviously you don't want to be standing in the field as they spray.
I have 1 teen and 3 tween daughters and I have zero concerns for them being in or around a sprayed field.
Also, if a farmer or a spraying service kills any of your lawn or trees, they carry insurance. Speak to them ASAP and take pictures. its their problem, not yours. Accidents happen, drift happens, heck I personally I have had temperature shifts happen that actually lifts and moves the chemical to another field next to it.

Another farmer chiming in here.........if you have a dispute re. spraying, take it to the applicator and the farmer. As Deadpool said, they have insurance for such instances.
Try to avoid calling a governmental agency. Makes for a lot of unneeded problems for the applicator and the farmer.
