every day at work , different bands get brought up , I work with alot of younger people , and they talk about bands I'd never heard of , actually , bands most people have never heard , because they just don't get the mass exposure like bands used to back in the days

and I bring up record stores

you used to go into a record store and flip though the albums , and they were always alphabetized , so you would see every band / artist that was out there , even if they played a type of music you werent into

if I was flipping through the "D"'s looking for Def Leppard , I would still see Devo's album ....................lol

plus the stores would be full of band's t-shirts and poster , and other merchandise , so you were exposed to all types of artists

today...............
