I could only imagine using the shields in a smaller venue.. normally if the headliner wants to use them, the opening band HAS to use them, as well, cuz they don't wanna hafta set it up between bands.. at smaller shows, the headliner will require the opening act to use their drums - minus snare and cymbals - in order to make equipment changes much faster.. setting up drums and mic'ing them and soundchecking, if allowed, is a total PITA.. I've had headliners allow me to use their Marshall cabinets, but with my Marshall head, strictly to help changeout.. its nice.. as a headliner, I've never let the opening band use my equipmsnt.. if I got it free, I would, but that crap is expensive lol
