I watched The Ten Commandments and The Wizard of Oz every year from childhood until about 15 years ago. It's always shown around Easter but to me The Ten Commandments has never been an Easter movie because the focus of the movie is on Moses... not Jesus. The special effects in that movie were thought of as pretty cool for it's time but now they seem "campy" and crude. Some of the acting is overdone and very "Hollywood-ish", too. The movie no longer has the appeal for me that it used to. There are, however, several other movies about the Bible and Jesus Christ, specifically, that I absolutely love and which far surpass the quality of the old classi:. The Bible mini series (2016), Jesus of Nazareth (1977), the Gospel of John (2003), and The Chosen are my favorites. They've replaced the appeal of The Ten Commandments for me.
