Not Ireland, that has the original barrels used by Guiness. My son took me there. You're right.... if memory serves....
You pour your glass half full the let it set... for quite a while. Then you top it off making sure it has a good head - it's critical. I am not known for having good taste buds but even I could taste the difference when Guiness is poured correctly. Before I went to that pub I would have said the 'correct pour' was all for show.... and i would have been wrong.
Now Jameson. Went to the distillery in Ireland... think you said you've been there as well? And again.... all that what I considered "just for show" was proven wrong. It matters... temperature, swilling, breathing first.... DAMN.... I need to go buy a bottle of Jamesons. BTW.... a few years ago Jameson came out with "CaskMate"... have you tried it? Every bit as good as the scotch I had in Scotland. - JamesJM
