The only family I have in St Louis is my 2 adult kids and my 7-yr old grandson. Frank has no family here at all. We're not chummy with any of our neighbors so it'll be just Frank and me which is the way we like it, truth be told. . I usually cook so much food that I don't have to cook for about a week after the game. I always over do it. LOL It's not uncommon for one of both of my kids to show up on Super Bowl Sunday cause they know I've got good food and neither one of them can cook a lick They'll watch the game with us long enough to get their bellies full and then they leave. By the time the game ends, they're long gone. smh
Our Super Bowl menu for tomorrow is pretty simple. We don't do any smoking, grilling or anything fancy but everything is homemade.
Crispy Baked Chicken Wings
Pulled Pork
Extra Crispy Onion Rings
Southern Coleslaw
Baked Beans
Spinach-Artichoke Dip
7-Llayer Dip
Peanut Butter Cookies
Iced Tea and Soft Drinks
As we've aged, we just don't drink alcoholic beverages as much or as often as we used to. Whereas we used to have adult beverages 3-4 times a month, it's now more like 3-4 times a year. We will have a Margarita (our drink of choice these days) after the game to celebrate the end of the football season.
