College players declining to play in the bowl games?
I get it. I don't blame them in the least. Why risk injury 3-4 months from the NFL draft?
But it sure puts a sour note to the end of the college football season.
Not all of those not playing are entering the draft.
Many are transferring to other schools.
Bowl games are we knew them are history.
Bottom line is... playing in bowl games is risky when there is a change looming on the horizon where injury could affect that change. It's true whether a player is transferring to a different school or hoping to be selected in the NFL Draft.. The point is... players aren't playing cause they've got something else waiting for them and injury could ruin it for them.
